April 5 marks the day of the death of Kurt Cobain, the lead singer and guitarist of the band Nirvana. It was on April 8, 1994 when Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, with a shotgun wound to his head. They said it was suicide. Kurt Cobain died at the early age of 27.
Here is just one of the songs by Nirvana that I like a lot, it’s called "About A Girl"
The ice cream sundae is my favorite dessert. A scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup is great… but other toppings like whipped cream, nuts and cherry are spectacular!
Some say that the ice cream sunday originated from either Ithaca or Two Rivers. The first sundae ever documented in history was the Cherry Sunday, in 1892, where ice cream toppings were cherry syrup and candied cherries. This sundae was created by John M. Scott, a Unitarian Church minister, and Chester Platt, one of the owners of Platt & Colt Pharmacy. Later they served Strawberry Sunday and chocolate Sunday. (see wikipedia for more info)
On a hot Sunday like this, I just can’t help thinking about my favorite ice cream sundae flavors!
Mocha Coffee Dream – just a small amount of mocha chocolate sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce…. makes a simply exquisite ice cream sundae!
English Toffee Ice Cream Sundae – a drizzle of hot fudge sauce and sprinkle of toffee bits in the bottom, with a scoop of ice cream , repeated in layers….ooohhh just fabulous!
and of course, never to be left out…my neverending favorite…the Hot Fudge Ice Cream Sundae!
