Genesis 1:1-31

This chapter reveals to us our beginnings. It is about God’s creating the universe, the earth, and mankind. In this chapter, we see the beauty, the synchronization and the organization of the universe to realize we have an intelligent, loving and creative God who made it all.

The second verse tells us 2 “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” These are words of darkness, chaos and hopelessness. At some time or another we all have found something about our lives that can be described with words of emptiness and void and darkness. We have felt the loneliness, the hopelessness.

But then the “Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. ”
He was there the whole time! God is always right there, waiting for us to turn to Him, waiting to create life in our empty world, wanting to create something extra-ordinary in our life.

After everything He had done, 31 “God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. ” Whenever God creates, the final conclusion is very good. That is what God does with a person who comes to Him through Jesus Christ: – He gives us form, He gives us life, and He gives us purpose. And when He is finished – IT IS VERY GOOD. That is what God will do for us.

To begin a new life in Jesus Christ is as simple as ABC:

A- admit that we are lost. Admit that we need Christ

B- believe in Christ. Believe that God loves us and He sent His only Son to save us.

C- confess our faith. Confess that He alone can save us.

happy new year to all!
